The Elounda Peninsula all suite Hotel in conjunction with the the Sailing Club of Aghios Nikolaos “Aeolos” under the auspices of the Nautical Club of Greece and the Greek National Tourism Organization, organize the Hellenic Turkish Sailing Week for the classes MEGA Yachts, IRC, ORCi & ORC Club and J/24. The event will be held from 7th to 10th of June 2012 at Elounda Peninsula.
The event will be governed by the rules:
1.1 The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2009-2012.
1.2 The IMS Measurement Rule 2012.
1.3 The ORC Rating System 2012.
1.4 The IRC Rule 2012.
1.5 The ISAF Offshore Special Regulations Governing Offshore Racing 2012 – 2013 will apply. The event is classified Category 4 (monohulls cat.4).
1.6 The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (IRPCAS) will replace RRS Part 2 from sunset to sunrise.
1.7 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.
2.1 The ISAF Advertising Code, Regulation 20 will apply.
2.2 The boats shall comply with the regulations of their respective Member National Authority, a copy of the permission (if applicable) shall be presented at registration.
2.3 The relative regulations will apply from 07:00 hours of the 7th June until 16:00 hours of 10th June 2012.
2.4 Boats may be required by the Organizing Authority to display event sponsorship (according ISAF Advertising Code 20) as follows: advertising stickers at the bow, event sponsor flag at the stern, event sponsor flag while the boats are in their berthing place at the port.
3.1 The event is open to boats with a valid measurement certificate 2012 as follow:
Mega Yachts class, IRC certificate with TCC 1.3 or greater
IRC class , IRC certificate
ORC class, ORC I or ORC Club certificate
J/24 class, J/24 Class Certificate
3.2 There is no entry fee.
3.3 Eligible boats may entered by completing the Entry Form and send to the Organising Authority of Hellenic Turkish Sailing Week 2012 by mail or fax or email not later on 5th of June 2012 accompanied with a valid measurement certificate. Entries can also be made via event web site www.eloundapeninsula.com
4.1 The owner or the skipper or the representative of each boat shall presented at the Race Office and confirms the entry and register the boat before 16.00 hours of the 8th June 2012. The following documents shall be lodged at registration :
a) Completed Entry Form
b) Crew list with at least two members with a valid membership card of his/her MNA
c) A copy of the Valid Measurement Certificate
d) A copy of the Valid Liability Insurance contract according with (article 20 of the present Notice of Race)
e) If advertising is displayed, the respective member National Authority permission (when applicable)
f) Contact phone number both on boat and land including the name of contact person

4.1 On the 10th June 2012, no warning signal will be given after 12.30 hours.
5. SUBDIVISION OF CLASSES
5.1 The organizing authority may divide classes in categories according to the number of entries as follow:
Mega Yachts: according to LOA
(for example LOA less or equal to 20 meters or LOA greater than 20 meters)
ORC Class according to GPH
IRC Class according to TCC
6. MEASUREMENTS & INSPECTIONS
6.1 Measurers will be available at the Venue on 6th, 7th and 8th of June to make any measurement upon request, in order to provide the competitors with a valid ORC Club certificate free of charge.
6.2 Boats shall be subject to scrutiny and to checks for compliance with the rules at the discretion of Race Committee at any time throughout the event from 10.00 hours of 7th June and until two hours after the finishing of the last boat on the last race of the last day in any class.
7. CREW LIST / REPLACEMENT OF CREW
7.1 A provisional crew list giving names of the crew shall be submitted with the Entry Form at Registration.
7.2 Crew lists may be amended up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled time of the start of each race filing a new form showing the changes.
8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available to the competitors at the Race Secretariat, when completing registration.
9. RACE AREA
The regatta will be held at Mirabello Bay and Cretan Sea. The following Navigation Charts are recommended: No 444, No 444/1 and No 4 of the Hellenic Hydrograph Service.
The following courses will apply:
• Inshore Race for Mega Yacht :
Start at Elounda Penisula – Yanishades islands to port – Finish at Elounda approx..50 nm
• Long Inshore Race for IRC, ORC, J/24
Start at Elounda Penisula – island of Psira to port – Finish at Elounda approx. 18 nm
• Short Inshore Race for IRC, ORC, J/24
Start at Elounda Peninsula – Ag. Pantes Islands to port – Finish at Elounda approx. 11 nm
11. TIME CORECTION SYSTEM
11.1 For the boats measured under ORC the Offshore Triple Number will used as Time on Distance system:
Correction Time= Elapsed Time – Distance * 600 / Triple Number Coefficient
The Race Committee will signal the wind average that will use for scoring (Low or Medium or High) at the finishing of the first boat.
11.2 For the boats measured under IRC (Mega Yachts, IRC) the Time on Time system will apply
12.1 The Low Point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply.
12.2 The winners of each category in each class will be calculated from the Overall Scoring of each Class.

14. HAUL-IN, OUT FOR J/24 CLASS
The Organising Authority provides to the J/24 boats the haul in & out at 8th and 10th June at the Marina of Aghios Nikolaos free of charge.
15. RADIO COMMUNICATION
Except when communicate with the Race Committee, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
Prizes will be awarded to the best placed boats overall of each class (MEGA YACHTS, IRC, ORCI – ORC CLUB , J/24) and to the best placed boats of each category of the classes, according to the number of entered boats as following:
Until 3 boats 1st winner
From 4 – 5 boats 1st & 2nd winner
From 6 or more boats 1st ,2nd & 3rd winner
17. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the event entirely at their own risk. The Organising Authority, the Committees and any other participate in the Organization of the Hellenic Turkish Sailing Week 2012 will not accept any liability for anything sustain on persons or materials at the sea or ashore during the event. The owner or the representative of each boat accepts these terms for him and his crew when signed the entry form. Special attention shall be given at the Fundamental Rule 4 Part 1 «The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is here alone».
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third – party liability insurance according to Greek Law 2743/99. A copy of the liability insurance contract shall be lodged at registration. This liability insurance contract shall write clearly that cover the third party liability insurance when the boat participating in a regatta or be in accordance of the Institute Yacht Clauses CL 11.
19. RIGHT OF USE PICTURE/VIDEO
By participating in the Hellenic Turkish Sailing Week 2012, the owners, skippers and crew of the boats grants the unrestricted right and permission to the Organizing Authority and his Sponsor(s), to produce before, during or after the event any photograph, video, or published material and to present it in time and place of their choice without any kind of compensation.
