Dr Pavlos Kavauras, University cf Athens Faculty of Music
is Professor of Cultural Anthropology and Ethnomusicology in the Faculty of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is the Chair of the Department of Ethnomusicology and Cultural Anthropology and the Director of the Ethnomusicology and Cultural Anthropology Laboratory.

Harris Lambrakis, musician (ney)
is a graduate of the Faculty of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, he studied Byzantine music and western music composition. He plays the ney, and his musical career involves numerous CD productions, concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad. He founded the Harris Larnbrakis Quartet in 2006.

Periklis Papapetropoulos, musician (lavta saz)
studied music under the guidance of Ross Daly. As a member of the group Labyrinth, he played the saz and the tanbur. He has performed and made recordings with distinguished musicians of various traditions. He teaches the saz and the lavta at the Athens Conservatory and the Simon Karas “Center for Research and Dissemination of National Music.”
